Congratulations on your new Acme ProClean V12 cordless vacuum! This guide will walk you through everything you need to get up and running — from unboxing to your first clean. The whole process takes about 15 minutes, and you'll be ready to tackle any mess with ease.
What's in the Box
Before you begin, lay out all the components on a flat surface and confirm you have everything included:
- Acme ProClean V12 main unit
- FlexReach wand
- High-Torque CycloneMax floor head
- Combination crevice and brush tool
- Motorised mini-head (for upholstery and stairs)
- Wall-mount charging dock and power cable
- Quick-release bin emptying guide card
Note: If any component is missing or damaged, do not attempt to use the machine. Contact Acme Support before proceeding.
Step 1: Assemble the Vacuum
The Acme ProClean V12 clicks together in seconds — no tools required.
- Attach the wand to the main unit. Hold the main unit with the power button facing you. Align the FlexReach wand with the inlet port and push firmly until you hear a click.
- Attach your chosen floor head. Slide the High-Torque CycloneMax floor head onto the bottom of the wand. Press the release button on the wand neck to adjust the angle, then release to lock it in place.
- Verify all connections. Gently tug each joint to confirm a secure fit. A loose connection will reduce suction power.
Tip: For quick above-floor cleaning, attach the combination tool directly to the main unit handle, bypassing the wand entirely.
Step 2: Charge the Battery Before First Use
Your ProClean V12 ships with a partially charged battery. We recommend a full charge before first use to ensure peak performance and optimal battery longevity.
- Install the wall-mount dock. Choose a location near a power outlet. Use the two included screws to fix the dock to the wall, or simply rest it on a flat surface during the initial charge.
- Connect the power cable to the dock and plug it into a standard outlet.
- Place the vacuum on the dock. The LED indicator on the main unit will pulse amber to indicate charging.
- Wait for full charge. The LED will turn solid green when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours and provides up to 60 minutes of runtime in Eco mode.
Important: Do not leave the vacuum on the charger for extended periods beyond the initial charge. The ProClean V12 uses a smart charge circuit, but removing it once charged preserves long-term battery health.
Step 3: Register Your Product
Product registration takes less than two minutes and unlocks your full warranty coverage plus priority support.
- Visit acmevacuums.com/register or scan the QR code on the quick-start card included in the box.
- Enter your serial number — found on the label on the back of the main unit, below the battery compartment.
- Create or sign in to your Acme account.
- Confirm your purchase date and retailer.
Once registered, you'll receive your warranty confirmation by email within 24 hours.
Step 4: Your First Clean
With the battery charged and your vacuum assembled, you're ready to go.
- Select your power mode. Press the power button once for Eco mode (quieter, longer runtime), or press and hold for 2 seconds to activate Boost mode (maximum suction for deep cleaning).
- Check the bin. Before your first use, confirm the dustbin is correctly seated. Press the bin release button — the bin will click out — then reattach until it locks.
- Start vacuuming. Glide the floor head in smooth, overlapping strokes. The LED bar on the main unit shows remaining battery level in real time.
- Empty the bin when full. The ProClean V12 features a hygienic one-touch bin release. Hold the unit over a bin, press the release button, and the base opens to drop contents cleanly — no contact with debris.
Tips for Best Results
- Hard floors: Use the floor head in the flat position for maximum surface contact.
- Carpets and rugs: Angle the head slightly upright to engage the brush bar. Listen for the motor sound change — it indicates the brush bar is actively lifting fibres.
- Pet hair: Attach the motorised mini-head for upholstery, stairs, and car interiors. It's specifically designed to remove embedded pet hair.
- Filters: Wash the filter under cold running water every month. Allow it to dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinserting. Never use a wet filter.
