The Acme ProClean V12 is designed to be intuitive — but understanding exactly what each control and indicator does will help you get the most out of every clean. This guide covers every button, light, and feature on the machine.
The Power Button
The power button is located on the rear of the main unit handle, positioned for comfortable thumb operation during use.
- Single press: Powers on in Eco mode. Press again to power off.
- Press and hold (2 seconds): Activates Boost mode. The LED bar will flash twice to confirm.
- Double press (rapid): Cycles to Auto mode (CycloneMax Pro only — see note below).
Note: The ProClean V12 has two modes: Eco and Boost. The CycloneMax Pro adds Auto mode, which uses onboard sensors to automatically adjust suction to the floor type.
Suction Modes Explained
Eco Mode
The default operating mode. Eco mode balances suction power with energy efficiency, delivering approximately 60 minutes of runtime on a full charge. Use Eco for:
- Everyday dust and debris on hard floors
- Light carpet maintenance
- Large areas where battery longevity matters
Boost Mode
Maximum suction power — 185 AW — for tackling stubborn dirt, embedded pet hair, and deep carpet cleaning. Boost mode uses more battery and delivers approximately 8 minutes of runtime. Use Boost for:
- Deeply embedded carpet dirt
- Pet hair on upholstery or stairs
- Spot-cleaning heavily soiled areas
Tip: Use Eco for the bulk of a clean, then switch to Boost for tough spots rather than running Boost throughout.
The LED Battery Bar
The 5-segment LED bar on the front of the main unit gives you a live battery reading at a glance.
| 5 segments (solid green) | Fully charged |
| 4 segments | 80–99% remaining |
| 3 segments | 60–79% remaining |
| 2 segments | 40–59% remaining |
| 1 segment (white) | 10–39% remaining |
| 1 segment (flashing red) | Below 10% — charge soon |
| No segments | Battery depleted — place on charger |
Alert Indicator LED
A single LED above the power button communicates maintenance alerts and errors:
| Solid amber | Filter needs washing |
| 2 amber flashes | Brush bar obstruction detected |
| 3 amber flashes | Blockage in wand or inlet |
| Continuous red flash | Thermal cut-out — switch off and allow to cool |
| Rapid blue flash | Firmware update available via Acme app |
Bin Full Alert
The ProClean V12 does not have a dedicated "bin full" LED, but you will notice two signs that the bin needs emptying:
- The transparent bin wall shows debris reaching or exceeding the MAX line printed on the bin.
- Suction noticeably decreases even though no blockage is detected — a full bin restricts airflow through the cyclone assembly.
Make it a habit to check the bin level after each cleaning session.
Auto Power-Off
To preserve battery life, the ProClean V12 automatically powers off after 3 minutes of inactivity (trigger not pressed). This is normal behaviour. Simply press the power button to restart.
Charging Indicator
When the vacuum is on the dock:
- Pulsing amber: Charging in progress
- Solid green: Fully charged and ready
- Slow red flash: Charging fault — check dock contacts and outlet
